Anstee Bridge is a programme owned by Achieving for Children and was established in 2008 to help Year 11 students aged 15 to 16. Many of the students who are referred have low self-esteem and suffer from a lack of confidence. This programme uses Confidence Through Creativity artistic programmes helping them to become, confident, self-reliant, and resilient and to re-engage with education, ultimately securing a post-16 destination.
Anstee Bridge Choir is based in Kingston Upon Thames and is made up of past and present students, staff, volunteers, creative artists and colleagues at Achieving For Children.
The choir was formed in early 2017 to bring together the voices of those connected with Anstee Bridge and to also celebrate its tenth anniversary. The Anstee Bridge Choir has chosen the Heather Small song Proud, in recognition of the pride they feel with each student as they leave and go on to brighter futures.
